Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Early morning pick-up from Nairobi and drive to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive around midday, check in at Lion Cave Samburu, and have lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive through the reserve, with opportunities to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and the famous Samburu Special Five.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive exploring Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its unique wildlife, including the Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and other wildlife along the ewaso nyiro River.

Return to Lion Cave Samburu in the evening.
