Faith-based Tour in Kampala

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and later, embark on a thrilling faith-based tour in Kampala. The morning session will involve exploring religious sites such as Busega Martyrs Shrine and Mapeera Catholic Missionary Shrine in Nabulagala.
Have lunch in the respective hotels or one of the best café restaurants in the city. Continue with the afternoon session to explore sites including Namirembe Cathedral and Rubaga Cathedral Church. After today’s faith-based tourism experience, you will be transferred back to your respective accommodation for dinner & relaxation.

Tour in Kampala-Bahai Temple & Gaddafi Mosque

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, and the excursion to unpack different faith-based sites continues in Kampala city. The morning excursion will focus on exploring St Balikudembe Catholic Martyrs Shrine located in the middle of market currently known as
“Owino” and the Old Kampala Catholic Shrine. Lunch will be served in the afternoon, and then you will continue with a tour to Kigungu Missionary Landing Site. The last site to be visited will be Munyonyo Catholic Shrine, also built in commemoration among two martyrs to be killed Andrew Kagwa and Ponsiano ngondwe.

After a hot cup of tea/coffee, leave the hotel for another great faith-based tour in Kampala. The focus will be visiting the Baha’i temple, which sits on 52 acres of land. It is known for its unique architectural design and is set on Kikaaya Hill, where you will have a panaromic view of the the seven hills in Kampala city. The Baha’i temple is notably East Africa’s tallest and among the oldest temples in Africa.

Namugongo Martyrs Shrine Tour & Mass Service

Leave the hotel premises for Namugongo, where you will be visiting two sites, that is the Catholic and the Anglican Shrine under Church of Uganda. The Catholic Martyrs Shrine is a unique faith-based site where 22 Catholics were burned alive during the 18th century for refusing to denounce their Christian Faith introduced by the two white missionaries
namely Father alexander Markay, Fr. Lourdel Simeon Mapeera from and 23 Anglican converts were burned in the Church of Uganda Martyrs Shrine.

Your day will begin with a visit to the Anglican Martyrs Shrine spend 2 hours listening the history of the martyrs inside the martyr’s museum later continue to the Basilica of the Uganda Martyrs, where you will also have a prayer mass service let by the catholic priest. After prayers and exploration, you will return to have leisure time in your respective hotels in Kampala.

Mityana, Kyenjojo Tour & Drive to Fort Portal

After breakfast, depart from Kampala for Mityana. Expect to visit St. Andrew Kaggwa, who also features among the Catholic Uganda Martyrs who was executed on May 26th of 1886. From Mityana, you will continue to Kyenjojo to visit the Katoosa Martyrs Shrine, the birthplace of St. Adolf Ludigo-Mukasa, who also happens to be among the Uganda Martyrs. After the religious site visits, proceed to Fort Portal for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Faith-based Tour in Fort Portal City

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, and you will continue with a faith-based tour excursion in Fort Portal. Today, expect to visit the Virika Cathedral, which is located on Virika Hill, 2km off the heart of the city. It is a significant religious and cultural-spiritual site of the Tooro sub-region. In the afternoon, you may opt to explore for city tour in Fort Portal. Later Have a great
time at the hotel in the city awaiting the next day’s transfer to Kigali.

Transfer to Kigali

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast, and after, you will proceed to Kigali. It will be a long day drive, and you will have enroute lunch at Café Bea or a similar spot in Kabale. Where after lunch, we shall continue to the border to clear and cross to Rwanda.

Explore Kibeho Holy Ground

After having breakfast, you will explore Kibeho Holy Ground. This is one of the main Roman Catholic pilgrimage sites in Rwanda where mary mother to jesus showed to the children, located in Nyaruguru District. In the afternoon, you will visit St. Michael Cathedral and St. Famille Church. Get back to kibeho where you will spend the whole night praying and worshiping through the intercession of holly Mary mother to Jesus. Those who get tired there will be a standby bus to drop them at their hotel for relaxation.
