Arrive in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide/driver, who will assist you with your luggage and introduce you to your safari team. You will then begin the short transfer from the airport to your hotel in Entebbe. The journey normally takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic and the location of your accommodation.

After checking into the hotel, you will have time to settle in and relax after your flight. If your international flight arrives early enough, you may have the opportunity to explore some of Entebbe's attractions. You could take a relaxed walk around the town, visit the lakeside area or simply enjoy the facilities at your hotel.

Since the following day involves a long journey to southwestern Uganda, an early night is recommended.

Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, meet your safari guide and begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. Along the way, pass through villages, farms and beautiful countryside, with a stop at the Equator for photographs and a short break. Continue west with lunch en route before proceeding into the mountainous landscapes surrounding Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon or evening, check in and relax. Your accommodation will be selected according to your assigned gorilla trekking sector. In the evening, your guide will brief you about the following day’s gorilla trekking experience, including what to bring and what to expect. Enjoy dinner and an early night in preparation for your exciting gorilla trek.

Bwindi Impenetrable

After an early breakfast, depart for the gorilla trekking briefing point with your ranger guide. Begin your trek through the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Enjoy the incredible rainforest scenery and, along the way, look out for birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Once the gorillas are located, spend up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat under the guidance of your ranger. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and dinner, with the evening at leisure to rest and prepare for the journey back to Entebbe the following day.

Continue the journey to Entebbe, where you will be transferred directly to Entebbe International Airport in time for your outbound flight, marking the end of your memorable Uganda gorilla trekking safari.
