Gorilla Tracking Uganda

Rise early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for your briefing. Rangers will share trekking guidelines, assign you to a habituated gorilla family (based on fitness level and permit allocation), and introduce expert trackers and guides.
The trek begins—lasting anywhere from 2 to 8 hours—through dense rainforest, bamboo groves, steep slopes, and tangled vines. Good fitness and sturdy boots are highly recommended. Once the gorillas are located, spend one magical hour quietly observing them: silverbacks chest‑beating, juveniles tumbling in play, mothers tenderly nursing infants, and the family foraging in harmony. Photography is allowed (without flash).
Return to your lodge by early or mid‑afternoon to relax and enjoy the forest views. Optional activities include a short nature walk or a Batwa cultural experience, where you’ll discover the traditions of Uganda’s indigenous forest people through song, dance, and storytelling. Overnight at the same lodge in Bwindi.

Return to Entebbe using a Domestic Flight

After a leisurely breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi and board your scheduled flight back to Entebbe International Airport. This swift journey offers a comfortable alternative to the long road transfer, giving you more time to reflect on the unforgettable gorilla moments you’ve experienced.
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, or you can proceed with your onward travel plans, connect with your international flight back home or to another destination.
