Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup at 6:00 AM from your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Your driver-guide will take you on a scenic drive through Tanzania's countryside, passing through the town of Morogoro before arriving at Mikumi National Park around midday. Upon arrival, you'll check in at Camp Bastian and have a short rest before embarking on a half-day afternoon game drive. Mikumi National Park is home to large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes. Lions, leopards, and hippos are also commonly spotted near waterholes. The park's open plains offer excellent wildlife viewing, with observation towers providing panoramic views of the rolling miombo woodland. Return to Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.

Wake early for a full-day game drive across Mikumi's diverse landscapes. The morning hours are the best time to spot predators such as lions and leopards as they return from the night's hunt. Mikumi's rich birdlife includes species such as the lilac-breasted roller, African fish eagle, and various vultures. In the late afternoon, you will depart Mikumi and drive to Morogoro, a bustling town nestled at the base of the Uluguru Mountains. Check into Gombe Hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Morogoro and drive to Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve. The drive takes approximately 5 hours through beautiful landscapes and scenery. Nyerere National Park is Tanzania's largest protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its vast wilderness and diverse wildlife. Arrive at Kinga Lodge in time for lunch. Relax and settle in before heading out in the afternoon for a boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River. This is one of Africa's finest boating experiences. As you glide along the river, you'll encounter large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, and a spectacular array of water birds. Elephants, giraffes, and antelopes often come to the river's edge to drink, providing excellent photo opportunities. A sunset drink setup on a river sandbank adds a magical touch to the experience. Return to Kinga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today you will explore Nyerere National Park on a full-day game drive in an open safari vehicle. The park is home to the Big Five and is one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered African wild dog. Other wildlife includes lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and numerous antelope species. Your guide will navigate the park's tracks, adjusting the route based on wildlife movements and recent sightings. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park, allowing uninterrupted wildlife viewing. The park's diverse habitats miombo woodlands, open grasslands, and riverine forests support over 440 bird species. Return to the Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

On your final morning, you will experience a walking safari guided by an armed ranger. This intimate, ground-level experience allows you to feel the pulse of the bush. Track footprints, identify wildlife calls, and learn about plant medicine and survival skills in the wild. Walking safaris are available to individuals aged 16 and over. After the walk, return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam to depart to your next destination. This marks the end of your safari adventure.
