Jambo and welcome! Your safari begins today as we set off from Arusha toward the golden savannahs of Tarangire National Park.

Renowned for its iconic baobab trees and colossal elephant herds, this sanctuary offers world-class wildlife viewing along the Tarangire River. You will watch graceful giraffes browse the acacias, spot lions lounging in the shade, and marvel at colorful birdlife.

A delicious picnic lunch will be served right in the heart of the wild bush. Later, you will take a scenic drive into the fertile green highlands to relax over a hot dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

After a morning breakfast, you will journey through the high crater lands before descending into the vast, golden horizons of the Central Serengeti. As you enter the legendary Seronera Valley, the landscape opens into rich wildlife country, offering exceptional opportunities to spot swift cheetahs racing across the open plains and elusive leopards resting in the branches of riverine acacia trees.

You will enjoy a savory packed lunch amidst the wilderness while watching vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and other wildlife move across the surrounding plains. As the afternoon unfolds, continue exploring this remarkable region before heading to Friends Serengeti Camp at sunset. There, a hot, freshly prepared dinner awaits, followed by a peaceful overnight in comfortable canvas-style accommodation beneath the starlit Serengeti sky.

Day 3

Awaken to the natural sounds of the bush and set out for a full day of game viewing across the untamed Serengeti. Explore winding riverbanks where hippos gather in the water, while tracking active lion prides during the cool morning hours when wildlife is at its most vibrant.

The open savannah offers endless opportunities to encounter herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and other iconic wildlife against a breathtaking backdrop of golden grasslands and distant horizons. Around midday, enjoy a refreshing picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by spectacular landscapes and the sights and sounds of the Serengeti.

In the late afternoon, return to Friends Serengeti Camp for a delicious dinner, warm campfire stories, and another peaceful night beneath the stars.

Day 4

Depart early after breakfast and journey toward the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend approximately 600 meters into the crater floor, a vast collapsed volcanic caldera renowned for its remarkable concentration of wildlife. Here, you may encounter majestic crater lions, large herds of zebra and wildebeest, elephants, hippos, and the rare black rhino moving across the open grasslands. Enjoy a savory picnic lunch beside the hippo pool, surrounded by the dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife of this extraordinary natural amphitheatre. After further exploration of the crater floor, begin the ascent along the steep caldera walls as the afternoon unfolds.

In the evening, return to Marera Valley Lodge for a delicious dinner, a warm shower, and a restful night surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the highlands.

On your final day, descend into Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic wilderness known for its lush groundwater forests, large baboon troops, and flamingo-filled shores.

Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, keeping an eye out for its famous tree-climbing lions, towering giraffes, elephants, and other wildlife moving through the diverse landscapes. Along the way, pause for your final safari picnic lunch, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. After your game drive, continue toward your chosen drop-off point, whether Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Arusha Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari.
