Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early morning after breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. You will begin your journey to drive through the "land of giants", Tarangire National Park. You'll drive across the endless golden savannah that grazes along the Tarangire River. This national park is known for its elephants and sprawling baobab trees. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at the picnic site and take in the remarkable view of the Tarangire River. Keep a close eye on your lunch, as the monkeys won’t hesitate to get away with a tasty treat if given the chance. The action-packed game drive will end late in the evening. You will now head towards your choice of accommodation in Karatu near Ngorongoro highlands, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits. Ensure you get some good rest and recharge yourself for another eventful day.

Shira Day-Hike to Arusha

After an early breakfast and then proceed on a drive with your picnic lunch to Londorossi gate where we will stop to pay the park fees. We continue to drive in a western direction to the point of the 4x4 rescue vehicles, Shira trail. Here, we will leave the car and start walking to Shira Cathedral Walk along the ridge, passing near East Shira Hill. This plateau stretches over 13 kilometers to the west of Kibo at an elevation of 3,962 metres. Placed on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, the Shira Plateau shows the remains of an ancient caldera, a volcanic crater that expired around half a million years ago. You will have a picnic lunch on top of the Shira Plateau. In the evening, you’ll begin drive to your comfort Lodge near by Kilimanjaro International Airport.
