Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel north towards Samburu National Reserve, enjoying scenic views of Kenya’s changing landscapes along the way. Arrive in the Samburu region around lunchtime and check in at your lodge or tented camp before lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the reserve’s beautiful savannah, rocky terrain and riverine areas while searching for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Samburu is especially famous for its unique Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, when wildlife is most active and the cool morning light provides excellent viewing opportunities. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks, Beisa oryx and Somali ostriches. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey back to Nairobi. Travel through the scenic landscapes of central Kenya, with a lunch stop along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where your memorable Samburu wildlife safari comes to an end.
