Enjoy a guided rhino-tracking experience and learn about the conservation efforts protecting these magnificent animals. After the experience, continue north through Uganda's beautiful countryside toward Murchison Falls National Park, the country's largest national park. Arrive at your lodge, relax and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. Day 2

Morning Game Drive- Boat Cruise and Hike to the Top of the Falls

After an early morning warm-up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like lions, giraffes, oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, and buffaloes among other animals and bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and relax preparing for yet an exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch, transfer for a 3-hour boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls. Here you will have the opportunity to view animals such as crocodiles, and hippos, in the water and some on the river banks. Buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the river bank grazing and drinking water. You will then have to hike to the top of the falls for a clear view of the falls. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and journey south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy scenic views of Uganda's countryside, local villages, farms and changing landscapes along the way. Your professional guide will share fascinating information about Uganda's culture, communities and natural environment during the journey. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax. If time allows, enjoy an evening game drive through the park, offering an opportunity to see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife as the sun sets over the savannah.

After an early morning breakfast, you will head to Kalinzu Forest for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Upon arrival, you will receive a briefing from experienced forest guides about the trekking guidelines, safety measures, and responsible ways to interact with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a guided hike through the lush tropical forest in search of habituated chimpanzee communities. Keep your eyes and ears open for chimpanzees calling from the treetops, as well as other primates, butterflies and colorful forest birds.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The cruise offers excellent opportunities to observe large concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffaloes and Nile crocodiles along the water's edge. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy spotting numerous water and woodland species, making this a perfect combination of chimpanzee trekking and wildlife viewing in Uganda.

After breakfast, you will transfer through the spectacular Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Ishasha is famous for its remarkable tree-climbing lions, making it a thrilling stop on your Uganda safari. Enjoy an adventurous game drive across the vast savannah plains, where you may encounter topis, African elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife. Keep your eyes on the large fig trees, where the lions are often seen resting on the branches. With luck, you will capture unforgettable photographs of these unique predators. After lunch in Ishasha, continue to Bwindi. Along the way, watch the landscape transform from open savannah to cultivated rolling hills and finally the misty, forest-covered mountains of southwestern Uganda.

The trek can be challenging, but the magical moment you encounter a mountain gorilla family makes every effort worthwhile.
