Drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

07:00hrs Meet up with our Hospitality Representative and your dedicated Safari Driver Guide on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or your Arusha Hotel.

After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, depart and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area climbing to an altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here, your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World.” A brief stop at the Crater Viewpoint where you will come out to view the Crater below and take photos. Drive on your lodge, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch.

15:00hrs Descend to the floor of the crater for a game viewing drive. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino.

As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend the crater wall and drive back to the Lodge.

Ngorongoro to Arusha & Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the lodge. Check-out and drive to Arusha town to arrive in the early afternoon for a farewell lunch Gran Melia Hotel compliment of Afio Mai Africa Safaris.

Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your travel home.
