Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Dar es Salaam.
Depart by private 4x4 safari vehicle and drive towards Mikumi National Park. The journey takes you through Tanzania's changing landscapes, local villages and countryside.

Upon arrival in Mikumi, proceed for an afternoon game drive. Explore the park's open plains and surrounding woodland while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas and other wildlife.
As the afternoon progresses, continue exploring the park before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Full day Mikumi Game Drive

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park.
Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, one of the park's most productive wildlife areas. Your professional safari guide will select the best routes based on wildlife movements and recent sightings.

Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, impalas and other wildlife. Mikumi is also home to a variety of bird species, making the park excellent for both wildlife viewing and photography.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon game viewing.
Later in the afternoon, return to Camp Bastian for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After the experience, depart Mikumi by road and begins the journey towards Dar es Salaam. Enjoy the changing scenery along the way and, if time permits, make stops for refreshments or photographs.
Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 3-day Mikumi safari adventure.
