Day 1

Nairobi to Tsavo West

Nairobi to Tsavo West

06:00 – Depart Nairobi via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway. Scenic drive with a refreshment stop at Mtito Andei.

11:00 – Enter Tsavo West through Mtito Andei Gate. Begin game drive en route to lodge, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and volcanic landscapes.

13:00 – Check-in and lunch at lodge/camp.

15:00 – 17:30 – Afternoon game drive: visit Mzima Springs (hippos, crocodiles, underwater viewing chamber), then explore Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary for rare black rhino sightings.

18:00 – Return to lodge, unwind with sundowner views.

19:30 – Dinner and overnight stay. Optional stargazing session under Tsavo’s clear skies.
