Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

0700rs – Depart Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley escarpment, pausing for breathtaking photo stops of sweeping valleys, volcanic ridges and shimmering lakes in the distance.

0930hrs – Arrive at Naivasha lodge/camp, check in and relax in the tranquil gardens or by the lakeside, where colobus monkeys and colorful birds often roam.

1230hrs – Lunch at the lodge with sweeping lake views, accompanied by the calls of fish eagles overhead.

1400hrs –1630hrs – Afternoon boat ride across Lake Naivasha, gliding past hippos and spotting kingfishers, cormorants and fish eagles. Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walk among giraffes, zebras and antelopes roaming freely in this open sanctuary.

1700hrs – Return to lodge for leisure: swim, stroll the grounds or simply enjoy the sunset glow over the lake.

Evening & Night – Dinner and overnight stay, with the evening serenaded by Naivasha’s nocturnal sounds and the gentle lapping of the lake.

Day 2

Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

0700hrs – Breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Nakuru (approx. 2 hrs), enjoying scenic views of the Rift Valley escarpment, rolling farmlands and bustling roadside towns.

0900hrs – Enter Lake Nakuru National Park. Morning game drive along the lake shore and savannah plains, spotting rhinos grazing, lions resting under acacias, giraffes browsing and flamingos painting the shoreline pink. Keep an eye out for leopards in the trees and troops of playful baboons.

1300hrs – Lunch at lodge inside/near the park, with time to relax and soak in the park’s atmosphere.

1500hrs –1730hrs – Afternoon game drive through acacia woodlands, searching for buffalo herds and elusive predators. Visit Baboon Cliff viewpoint for panoramic views of the shimmering lake and surrounding hills.

Evening & Night
– Dinner and overnight stay at Nakuru lodge/camp, with the evening spent unwinding under the starry Rift Valley skies.

Day 3

Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

0700hrs – Breakfast at the lodge, then depart for the Masai Mara via the scenic Rift Valley highlands. The drive offers sweeping views of rolling farmlands, escarpments and Maasai homesteads along the way.

1300hrs– Arrive at Masai Mara lodge/camp, check in and enjoy lunch while overlooking the vast savannah.

1430hrs –1730hrs – Afternoon game drive across the Mara plains, where elephants march in herds, giraffes silhouette against the horizon and prides of lions stir as the sun sets. The golden light paints the landscape, perfect for photography.

1830hrs – Dinner and overnight stay at Masai Mara lodge/camp, with the night alive to the sounds of crickets, distant hyenas, and the rhythm of the African wilderness.

Day 4

Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve

0600hrs – Early morning game drive when predators are most active, catching lions on the hunt and hyenas returning from the night.

0830hrs – Breakfast at lodge/camp, then prepare for a full-day adventure.

1000hrs –1300hrs – Extended game drive with picnic lunch inside the reserve. Explore the Mara River, home to hippos and crocodiles and traverse sweeping plains alive with elephants, cheetahs and seasonal wildebeest migration crossings. Birdlife flourishes, from secretary birds to crowned cranes.

1300hrs - 1400hrs - Time for a packed picnic lunch

1400hrs -1500hrs - Continued game drive at the reserve

1500hrs -1700hrs - Optional visit to a Maasai village for cultural immersion, learning traditions, dances and stories by the fire.

1700hrs – Return to lodge/camp for relaxation, perhaps a swim or sundowner overlooking the savannah.

1800hrs/1930hrs – Dinner and overnight stay.
