Addis Ababa – Awash National Park

Depart Addis Ababa in the morning and travel east through the scenic Ethiopian Rift Valley, passing changing landscapes, traditional villages, and beautiful countryside.

Upon arrival at Awash National Park, check in at your lodge and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, begin your first safari game drive through the park’s open savannah and volcanic landscapes.

Keep your eyes open for oryx, greater kudu, gazelles, warthogs, baboons, and a variety of colorful bird species. Enjoy the peaceful scenery and spectacular African sunset before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in Awash.

Awash – Abijata-Shalla National Park – Lake Langano

After breakfast, drive south through the scenic Great Rift Valley, enjoying panoramic views of volcanic landscapes, local villages, and the surrounding countryside.

Continue to Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park, a beautiful destination known for its lakes and abundant birdlife. Enjoy a birdwatching safari with opportunities to see flamingos, pelicans, storks, and other waterbirds along the shores.

After exploring the area, continue to Lake Langano, famous for its warm waters and beautiful surroundings.

Langano – Bale Mountains – Dinsho

After breakfast, depart Lake Langano and drive toward the spectacular Bale Mountains National Park, enjoying changing landscapes as you climb from the Rift Valley into the Ethiopian highlands.

Along the way, admire mountain scenery, green valleys, traditional villages, and dramatic highland views.

Upon reaching the Dinsho area, begin a scenic wildlife safari through the park’s grasslands and woodlands.

Along the way, make short stops for photographs and to appreciate the scenery and local way of life.
