Arusha – Ndutu Area

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward the Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoy scenic views as you travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching the seasonal plains of Ndutu. After lunch, begin your first game drive, searching for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants and predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. During the calving season, the area becomes especially active as thousands of wildebeest gather with their newborn calves. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.

Full-Day Ndutu Wildlife & Calving Safari

Spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu plains with morning and afternoon game drives. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the Great Migration, particularly between December and March when wildebeest gather for calving. Watch large herds moving across the plains while predators patrol nearby. Your experienced guide will help you locate wildlife and explain the seasonal movements of the animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart Ndutu toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a spectacular game drive across its diverse habitats. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the crater's dramatic scenery before ascending and beginning your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or evening.
