Upon reaching the Ndutu area, you will enjoy your first game drive around the calving grounds. This is the time to start looking closely for newborn wildebeest calves, protective mothers and the predators that follow the herds.

Your guide will carefully search for scenes of newborn calves taking their first steps, mothers protecting their young and herds moving across the open plains. At the same time, you will keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other predators attracted by the abundance of vulnerable young animals.

With a full day in the area, there is also greater flexibility to spend more time at interesting wildlife sightings and enjoy the landscape at a relaxed pace.
