Day 1

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. The drive takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. If you arrive at Arusha Airport (ARK), the transfer to Arusha takes around 20–30 minutes.

Once you arrive, take some time to settle in and relax after your journey. Optional for an extra cost: a guided Arusha city tour can be arranged, giving you the opportunity to experience local markets, culture and some of the city’s highlights. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay as you prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire

Start your morning with an early breakfast before leaving Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a drive of around 2.5 hours. Along the way, enjoy views of the Tanzanian countryside as you pass local villages, farmlands and changing landscapes before reaching the park.

Once inside Tarangire, enjoy a full-day game drive through its scenic savannah, known for its ancient baobabs and large elephant herds. You may also spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, impalas and a variety of birdlife. Stop at a designated picnic area for lunch before continuing your game drive into the afternoon. Later, leave the park and drive to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 3

Karatu to Southern Serengeti (Ndutu)

After an early breakfast, leave Karatu and travel towards Southern Serengeti and the Ndutu plains, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As the highlands give way to open grasslands and acacia-dotted plains, you’ll enter the Ndutu area.

During the calving season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather here, with newborn calves across the plains and predators nearby. Enjoy a game drive through the open plains and woodland, keeping an eye out for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife. Stop at a designated picnic area for lunch before continuing your game drive into the afternoon. Later, arrive at your accommodation in Ndutu for dinner and a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive across the Ndutu plains in Southern Serengeti. During the calving season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather in the area, with newborn calves attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Your guide will follow the wildlife activity and choose the best areas to explore, giving you the chance to observe the migration and the natural events that come with it.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area before continuing your game drive through the afternoon. Along the way, look out for elephants, giraffes, gazelles, buffalo and a variety of birdlife. Later, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening after another day exploring Ndutu.

After breakfast, leave Ndutu and begin your scenic journey towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. As you leave the open plains of Southern Serengeti behind, the landscape gradually changes to rolling hills, lush valleys, acacia woodlands and the greener scenery of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Enjoy the changing views along the way before arriving at your accommodation in the highlands. Take some time to settle in and relax after your days exploring the Ndutu migration area. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening as you prepare for tomorrow’s Ngorongoro Crater experience.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for your final safari experience. Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor, where you may see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Stop at a designated picnic area for lunch before continuing your exploration of the crater.

After the game drive, ascend from the crater and continue towards Arusha or the airport for your departure. As your safari comes to an end, take with you wonderful memories of Tarangire, the Ndutu migration experience and the Ngorongoro Crater.
