Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your safari with a morning pick-up in Kigali. Take a brief, reflective tour of the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda’s moving history before hitting the road.
Drive north through rolling terraced hills toward the Gatuna/Katuna border. Clear customs and cross into southwestern Uganda, continuing the scenic drive via Kabale and the dramatic Kigezi highlands.
Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park just in time to catch a beautiful savanna sunset. Check into a rustic lodge overlooking the park or the Rwenzori foothills for dinner and your overnight stay.

Morning game drive and kazinga channel boat cruise

Set out for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi plains. This is the prime time to spot iconic savanna wildlife, including lions, leopards, large herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and waterbucks.
Head to the Mweya peninsula for a legendary 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George, offering a spectacular, close-up look at one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, and countless elephants bathing on the shore.
Evening: Enjoy a relaxed evening dinner at your lodge.

Check out of your lodge and drive south through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Keep your eyes glued to the branches of the massive fig trees—this region is famous for its unique population of tree-climbing lions.
Enjoy a local lunch and route as the savanna transitions into the dense, misty rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Head directly to the park headquarters for a vital safety and logistical briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) rangers. You will be assigned to a habituated gorilla family based on your physical fitness level.
The Trek: Venture into the thick, tangled jungle alongside experienced trackers. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas nested the previous night. Once you locate them, you have exactly 1 hour to watch, photograph, and experience these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge to freshen up, collect your tracking certificate, and check out. Embark on a highly scenic drive through the winding mountain roads to Lake Bunyonyi (Kabale).
Evening: Check into your lakeside resort, relax, and soak in the peaceful views of Africa's second-deepest lake.

Exploration of lake bunyonyi and return to kigali

Wake up to the mist rising off the lake. Enjoy a relaxing morning boat cruise or dugout canoe ride across the calm waters of Bunyonyi. Explore a few of its 29 historic islands, such as Punishment Island (Akampene), and learn about the fascinating local folklore.
Have a hearty lunch at a lakeside restaurant featuring fresh local crayfish, then pack up for the return journey.
Drive south back through the Katuna border post, crossing back into Rwanda.
Evening: Arrive back in Kigali by late afternoon or early evening for your drop-off at the airport or your preferred hotel, concluding an extraordinary safari adventure.
