Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins with a pick-up from your Nairobi accommodation or the airport. Drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, enjoying scenic countryside views and a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking views and photographs.

Continue to Kandili Camp for lunch and check-in. At 3:00 pm, depart for an afternoon game drive in the Leopard Gorge Conservancy, exploring the wilderness in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, buffaloes, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Return towards camp around 5:30 pm and enjoy a memorable sundowner overlooking the African wilderness. As darkness falls, embark on an exciting night game drive to experience the Mara’s nocturnal wildlife.

Return to Kandili Camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Spend the day exploring the vast savannah plains in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, hyenas, gazelles, and other wildlife.

The Mara is also home to an impressive variety of bird species, offering wonderful opportunities for birdwatching as you explore different parts of the reserve.

Around midday, enjoy your packed lunch at a designated picnic site in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush. After lunch, continue your game drive until evening, making the most of the afternoon wildlife activity.

Later, drive back to Kandili Camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of Kandili Camp and begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the beautiful countryside and landscapes along the way.

For an enriching cultural experience, you may opt to visit a local Maasai community at an additional cost of USD 20 per person. Enjoy an authentic interaction with the Maasai people and learn about their traditional way of life, culture, customs, and heritage.

After the visit, continue to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your preferred destination within the city, marking the end of your memorable Maasai Mara safari.
