Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Morning: pickup from Nairobi (around 7:00 AM) and drive south across the Kapiti Plains to Amboseli National Park (approx. 4 hours). Arrive in time to check into your camp and have lunch.

Afternoon: From 3pm afternoon start game drive. Amboseli is famous for large herds of free-ranging African elephants and breathtaking backdrop views of Mount Kilimanjaro (best visible during early morning or late afternoon).

Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at your camp in Amboseli.

Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

Early morning game drive after breakfast in Amboseli while Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak is clear (if weather permits). Exit Amboseli by 9.30 am and drive towards Tsavo West National Park (approx. 3 hours), passing through the Shetani Lava Flow.

Afternoon check-in to your lodge, have lunch, and head out for an afternoon game drive from 4pm. Visit Mzima Springs, a natural oasis fed by underground streams from the Chyulu Hills, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles from an underwater viewing chamber.

Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge in Tsavo West.

Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park

Morning breakfast then morning game drive in Tsavo West to spot predators like lions and leopards. Exit Tsavo West and cross over into Tsavo East National Park (approx. 2 to 3 hours).

Check into your lodge in Tsavo East, have lunch, and rest. In the late afternoon 4pm, set off for a game drive across the vast, open savannahs. Visit Aruba Dam, a popular gathering point for wildlife, and look out for Tsavo’s famous "red elephants" (coloured by the park's iron-rich soil).

Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge in Tsavo East.
