Start with a city tour of Kigali, exploring some of the city’s key attractions and experiencing its clean streets, local markets and vibrant atmosphere. After the city tour, begin your journey towards the Rwanda-Uganda border. Enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s famous rolling hills and countryside as you travel towards Uganda. Complete the border crossing formalities before continuing to southwestern Uganda. Arrive at your accommodation near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, check in, relax and prepare for your gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early and have breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing. Join experienced guides and trackers and enter Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Trek through the dense rainforest while enjoying the unique vegetation, birdlife and beautiful mountain scenery. Once you find the gorillas, spend the permitted time observing them in their natural environment as they feed, rest and interact. After the trek, return to your accommodation to freshen up, have lunch and relax. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay before your journey back to Rwanda.

Scenic Drive Back Across the Border to Kigali

After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic journey from southwestern Uganda back towards Kigali. Travel through the beautiful countryside, enjoying views of green hills, farms and local communities along the way. Cross the Uganda-Rwanda border and continue towards Kigali. Depending on your departure schedule, you may stop for lunch or refreshments along the route. Your guide will ensure you arrive at Kigali International Airport in good time for your flight. If your flight is later in the day, you may have some free time in Kigali before departure. Your 3-day Rwanda and Uganda budget tour ends at the airport.
