Your adventure begins with pick-up from Kigali International Airport by your guide. Start with a city tour of Kigali, visiting some of the city’s notable attractions while experiencing its clean streets, local markets and vibrant atmosphere. After the city tour, begin your journey towards Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. Enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s famous rolling hills, farms and countryside communities along the way. Arrive near the park and check in at your accommodation. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your golden monkey trekking experience the following morning.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your golden monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. Enter the forest with experienced guides and search for the endangered golden monkeys. Enjoy watching them move through the bamboo forest, feed and interact in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your accommodation for lunch and prepare for your journey into Uganda. Cross the Rwanda-Uganda border and continue towards beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in the evening, check in at your accommodation and relax while enjoying views of the surrounding hills and islands.

Day 3
Transfer to Bwindi Forest and Gorilla Trekking
Transfer to Bwindi Forest and Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, leave Lake Bunyonyi and travel towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your trekking sector, proceed to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing. Enter the dense rainforest with experienced guides and trackers in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, enjoy the unforgettable experience of observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return from the forest, refresh and begin your journey back towards the Lake Bunyonyi area or your accommodation for the night.

Scenic Drive Back Across the Border to Kigali
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey from southwestern Uganda back across the Rwanda-Uganda border towards Kigali. Enjoy beautiful views of rolling hills, green countryside, farms and local communities along the way. Complete the border crossing formalities before continuing towards Kigali. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for lunch or a short stop in Kigali before heading to the airport. Your guide will ensure you arrive at Kigali International Airport in good time for your departure. Your 4-day Uganda and Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour ends with airport drop-off.
