Nairobi to Maasai Mara

At 8 am, you will be picke up from your hotel within the city centre/Westland area and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Arrive in the camp in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch. In the evening at 4.00pm depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve where chances of seeing the big cats is extremely high ending at 6:00 pm.

Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting.

Full Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

After an early breakfast at 6:30 a.m., depart at 7:00 a.m. for a full-day game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve, with hopes of seeing the Big Five, especially the elusive big cats. Visit the world-famous Mara River, the iconic site of the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras brave the waters as they move from the Serengeti in search of fresh pasture. Enjoy a safe guided walk along the riverbanks accompanied by armed park rangers and observe Nile crocodiles basking in the sun and families of hippos in the pools. Enjoy a packed lunch under a classic African acacia tree while taking in the breathtaking Maasai Mara landscapes. Continue to the official marker-stone border point where Kenya’s Maasai Mara meets Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and take memorable photos. Enjoy a scenic drive back to camp as wildlife becomes active in the afternoon light. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Full Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7 am, leave for a full day game viewing in the park. On this day, spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodile. Thereafter, go for picnic lunch in park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
