Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your Afriquest Travels driver-guide and transferred to Airport Guest House.

Depending on your arrival time, spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your Uganda primate safari.

Your driver-guide will brief you about the safari route, planned activities, what to carry and general travel arrangements.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and begin your journey westwards towards Kibale Forest National Park.
Travel through Uganda's beautiful countryside, passing local communities, agricultural landscapes and rolling hills.

Enjoy selected stops for refreshments and photography.

Continue towards Fort Portal and the beautiful landscapes surrounding Kibale Forest. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, check in, have lunch and relax.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Community Walk

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Community Walk

After an early breakfast, proceed to the Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers and guides.

Begin your Chimpanzee Trekking Experience through the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated chimpanzee community.

The trek may take several hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees and the terrain. Once the chimpanzees are located, spend time observing their behaviour, photographing them and learning about their social structure and relationship with the forest ecosystem.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, embark on the Bigodi Community Walk. Accompanied by a local guide, explore the community while learning about traditional livelihoods, local agriculture, crafts and community conservation initiatives.
Return to the lodge in the evening.

Transfer to Queen ELizabeth For Afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart Kibale Forest National Park and drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying the scenic countryside and views of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s most rewarding wildlife experiences. The cruise offers excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks and other wildlife along the shoreline, as well as a variety of water and savannah bird species.

After the boat cruise, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading into Queen Elizabeth National Park for an exciting morning chimpanzee trekking experience. The trek takes you into the forest in search of habituated chimpanzee communities, with opportunities to observe them in their natural habitat. Along the way, you may also encounter various forest birds, monkeys and other wildlife.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, with opportunities to appreciate the rolling hills, local communities and countryside.

Continue to Bweza Lodge, located near the Rushaga sector of Bwindi, for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking Experience- Bwindi

After an early breakfast, proceed to the appropriate Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

Begin your trek into the ancient Bwindi forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas, weather conditions and terrain.

Once the gorillas are located, spend the designated viewing time observing their behaviour, photographing them and experiencing this exceptional wildlife encounter.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and overnight.

Wake up and have an early breakfast before depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, enjoying the scenic landscapes and rolling hills of southwestern Uganda.

Upon arrival, proceed for an exciting Golden Monkey Trekking experience in the bamboo forests of Mgahinga. These rare and playful primates are endemic to the Albertine Rift and are known for their striking golden-orange coats. The trek also offers opportunities to enjoy the forest’s rich biodiversity and beautiful mountain scenery.

After the trek, transfer to Kisoro town and check in at Travellers Rest Hotel. Spend the evening relaxing after the day’s adventure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Mgahinga for an immersive Batwa Cultural Experience. The experience provides an opportunity to learn about the traditions, history, knowledge and way of life of the Batwa people, who have a deep ancestral connection with the forests of the Albertine Rift.

The experience may include demonstrations of traditional hunting techniques, gathering practices, medicinal plant knowledge, fire-making, and traditional tools. You will also have the opportunity to listen to traditional stories, songs, dances, and cultural interpretations shared by community members.

After the cultural experience, return to the Lodge and have lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing at the Lodge or an Optional Kisoro City Tour

In the evening, return to Travellers Rest Hotel for dinner and overnight.
