Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Karatu

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin your first game drive through the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands and diverse wildlife. Explore the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and a variety of bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, depart Tarangire and continue toward Karatu and the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnights.

Karatu- Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching the vast Serengeti plains. As you enter the park, begin your game drive en route to your accommodation. Keep watch for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffalo and predators.
Depending on the season, you may also encounter areas where the Great Wildebeest Migration is taking place. Continue with your game drive before arriving at your camp or lodge in the evening.

Your guide will select the best areas to explore according to current wildlife activity and seasonal conditions. If your visit coincides with the Great Migration, you may encounter large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. Explore the crater floor, where an exceptional concentration of wildlife can be found. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater safari before ascending the crater walls.

After leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, begin the drive back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon or evening, where your 6-Day Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire Drive-In Drive-Out Safari comes to an end.
