Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

We start our exciting Kruger Safari with a 7 am transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport to Hazyview, just 15 minutes from Kruger.

Arriving in Hazyview at 12:30 pm, our Wild Planet guides warmly welcome you before lunch at a local restaurant (at guests’ expense).

After lunch, we travel to Phabeni Gate, the Kruger National Park gateway. A leisurely safari drive follows, culminating at Skukuza camp, where a charming Rondawel awaits your 2-night stay. The Rondawel features AC, an en-suite bathroom, a fridge, and a patio.

Situated along the Sabie River, Skukuza camp provides a scenic backdrop. In the afternoon, we depart on a brief drive and provide a unique dinner experience at the camp, creating a delightful atmosphere over an open fire.

Kruger National Park and Hoedspruit Day Trip

Today is sure to be an entertaining adventure for the whole family. We'll exit the park and travel the short distance to Hoedspruit. Here you can choose between 3 exciting activities that are not just interactive but also very fun and educational.

Hoedspruit Reptile Center, is a unique reptile park housing snakes, crocodiles, alligators, tortoises, frogs and many more creepy crawlies that usually bring fear into most of the world's human inhabitants. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Jessica the hippo is a tame hippo living with a ranger just outside of town. It was washed up in the floods and has been a dear community member ever since.

The Moholoholo takes care of injured and orphaned animals and birds, trying to rehabilitate them for release back into the wild. Sometimes this is not possible and we get a chance to learn about them up close.

After an exciting day, return to Hoedspruit, where we'll be staying at a lodge inside a wildlife estate.

Hoedspruit to Johannesburg

This morning, we will take you for an exciting walk through the bush. It is a safe environment and there are no predators in the estate. We will, however, get a chance to walk with large herbivores like giraffes and zebras. After our walk, we will return to Call of The Wild for breakfast before we catch the transfer back to Johannesburg.

You will arrive in Johannesburg around 5:00 pm and the transfer can drop you and your family off at the O.R. Tambo International Airport.
