Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru- The Little Adventure Begins

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru- The Little Adventure Begins

The family adventure begins with a warm welcome from your Lambwe Untamed Safaris driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA.
Travel toward Lake Nakuru with a family-friendly journey that allows comfort stops whenever needed for washrooms, snacks or simply giving the children a break from sitting in the vehicle.
Arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for check-in and lunch, followed by time for the family to settle in and allow the children to rest.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a short introductory game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. This is the children's first opportunity to search for zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, rhinos, baboons and other wildlife.
Rather than keeping young children in the vehicle for hours, the game drive can be adjusted according to their energy and interest.
Return to the lodge in good time for dinner and a relaxed family evening.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara- From Rhinos to the Big Cats

After a relaxed family breakfast, check out and begin the journey toward the legendary Masai Mara.
The transfer is conducted at a comfortable pace with planned family comfort stops along the way. Parents can request additional breaks whenever the children need to stretch, use the washroom or have a snack.
Arrive in the Masai Mara and check into Enkorok Safari Camp. After lunch, the afternoon is deliberately kept flexible.
Depending on how the children feel after the journey, the family can enjoy a short afternoon game drive or simply remain at the camp to rest, explore the safe surroundings and enjoy swimming and family time.
This flexibility is central to the Little Explorers experience—there is no pressure to complete every scheduled activity.

Day 3

Masai Mara- Little Explorers Wildlife Discovery

Masai Mara- Little Explorers Wildlife Discovery

Today introduces the children to the incredible wildlife of the Masai Mara.
Instead of automatically requiring a traditional sunrise-to-sunset game drive, the day can be adapted around the family's routine. A recommended option is a morning game drive, when temperatures are cooler and wildlife is active.
The driver-guide makes the experience engaging for younger travelers by helping them identify animals and encouraging them to become Little Wildlife Spotters—looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, wildebeest, warthogs and colorful birds. Have a bush picnic lunch, and then proceed with the adventure or, return to camp for lunch and an important midday rest period. Younger children can nap while parents relax.
Later, enjoy another gentle afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 4

Masai Mara- Family Safari at Your Own Pace

Masai Mara- Family Safari at Your Own Pace

Enjoy another day exploring the Masai Mara, but today the family decides how adventurous or relaxed the experience should be. There is an option for early morning and sunrise game drive.
Families with older or energetic children may choose a longer wildlife excursion with a bush picnic lunch, while those traveling with toddlers and younger children can continue with the morning safari + camp break + afternoon safari format.
The focus isn't on how many hours are spent inside the vehicle. Instead, the goal is to create memorable wildlife encounters while keeping children comfortable, curious and excited about nature.
Parents can also request a slower morning or additional camp time if the children need it. In the evening, visit the Masai Village for a beautiful cultural interaction with the Masai community.
Return to camp in the evening for the family's final night in the Mara.

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the Masai Mara.
Check out and begin the private journey back to Nairobi. As throughout the safari, the journey includes planned comfort, snack and washroom stops, with additional breaks whenever the family needs them.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, the family receives a private transfer to their hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for their onward journey.
The Little Explorers return home with more than photographs—they leave with their first stories of elephants, giraffes, rhinos and lions roaming freely across Africa.
