Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Distance: 30–50 km
Non-game viewing time: Approximately 2 hours.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive from Arusha. Meet your guide, chef and fellow travelers before entering the park, known for its ancient baobab trees, scenic landscapes and large elephant herds.

Enjoy a game drive through the park, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and other wildlife. Later, stop at the Tarangire River picnic site for lunch while enjoying views of the river and surrounding wildlife. Keep an eye out for playful monkeys and baboons around the picnic area before continuing your safari adventure.

Day 2

Distance: 145 km (90 mi)
Non-game viewing time: 3–4 hours

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the highlands behind, the landscape opens into the vast plains of the Serengeti.

Continue towards the Seronera area, located in the heart of the park and renowned for its rich wildlife and the life-giving Seronera River. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to explore the plains and search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.

Day 3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Distance: 145 km (90 mi)
Non-game viewing time: 2–4 hours

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through the Seronera area, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. Continue exploring the Serengeti until the afternoon, then return to camp for lunch and pack up.

After lunch, begin your journey out of the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive to Simba Campsite takes approximately 2 hours, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Arrive near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and your overnight stay.

Note: Wildlife can sometimes be seen around the campsite.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Distance: 210 km (130 mi)
Non-game viewing time: 3–4 hours

After breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, hippos and other wildlife. Keep an eye out for predators including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and the elusive leopard.

Continue to Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake where you may see hippos, flamingos and a variety of water birds. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your preferred hotel.
