Depart Nairobi in the morning and journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward the legendary Masai Mara. Enjoy spectacular views of the Rift Valley escarpment and Kenya’s countryside as you travel toward the reserve.

Upon arrival, enter the Masai Mara and enjoy a game drive as you make your way toward your lodge or camp. Check in and enjoy lunch before taking a short rest.

In the afternoon, set out on your first exciting game drive across the Mara’s expansive golden plains. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and other wildlife. Enjoy the beautiful evening light across the savannah before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day safari through the Masai Mara with your professional guide. Explore the reserve’s open grasslands, riverine forests, seasonal wetlands, and wildlife-rich plains while searching for the Big Five and other iconic species.

Spend the day following wildlife movements and exploring different areas of the reserve. Between July and October, the Mara may offer the extraordinary spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration, with vast herds of wildebeest and zebras moving through the ecosystem.

Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to maximize your time in the wilderness. Continue with afternoon game drives until later in the day before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Optional experiences include a sunrise hot-air balloon safari or Maasai village visit at an additional cost.

Exit the reserve and begin your journey back to Nairobi, travelling through the scenic Kenyan countryside. Enjoy lunch en route before continuing toward the capital.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon or early evening and transfer to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your 3-day Masai Mara safari ends with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s legendary wildlife and breathtaking wilderness.
