Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, meet your private Seresafari Africa guide and depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Named after the Tarangire River, the park is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and exceptional birdlife.

During your game drive, keep an eye out for elephants gathering around the river, as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, hartebeest, antelopes, lions, leopards, and many other species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location inside the park before continuing your wildlife adventure. After the game drive, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania’s northern highlands.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater and the surrounding highlands before continuing toward the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.

As you enter the Serengeti, begin your game drive across its endless grasslands, home to an incredible variety of wildlife and the famous Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing and water.

Formed millions of years ago, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Explore its open grasslands, acacia woodlands, lakes, and wetlands, with opportunities to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, buffalo, lions, hippos, flamingos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. After your crater experience, ascend and continue to Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay.

Begin with a guided walking safari, offering a more intimate way to experience Tanzania’s nature while learning about plants, tracks, birds, and smaller wildlife from your professional guide.
