Serengeti national park

Serengeti national park

Spend the entire day exploring the magnificent Serengeti National Park on exciting game drives. The Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles, and is especially famous for the spectacular Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and other antelope species.

The movement of these vast herds is guided by the availability of water and fresh grazing, which means the migration pattern can vary from year to year. During November and December, the herds generally move from the northern Serengeti, characterized by woodland and rolling hills, toward the lush grassy plains of the south.

In addition to the migrating herds, you’ll have excellent opportunities to spot the Serengeti’s resident predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. After a full day of wildlife viewing and adventure, you’ll return to Tukaone weavers Camp for dinner.

The crater has the highest known population of mountain reedbuck, zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest. It is also known for the Big Five: rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Your driver-guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. The birdlife is prolific here, and up to 100 species can be seen in one day. In the middle of the crater, there is a large lake inhabited by hundreds of flamingos, and from a distance appears as a pink border around the lake. In the late afternoon after the game drive, you will go back to Arusha Town. This will be the end of your camping safari. Thank you and welcome back.
