Nairobi to Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Nairobi. Depart for the Maasai Mara, travelling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop along the way for beautiful views and photographs.

Continue to the Maasai Mara and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. After some time to relax, head out for your first afternoon game drive. Explore the open savannah in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs and other wildlife.

Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Enjoy the sunrise over the Mara as you explore different areas of the reserve.

After breakfast, continue with an extended game drive across the Mara plains. Your experienced safari guide will help you discover the best wildlife-viewing areas and track animals in their natural habitat.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your afternoon exploration. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards, as well as elephants, hippos and many bird species.
