Day 1

Take an early morning boat from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam.

Meet your private guide and drive approximately 20 km southwest of the city to Pugu Kazimzumbwi Nature Forest Reserve.

After registration, begin a guided forest hike through the coastal forest, passing giant bamboo stands and diverse plant species.

Continue towards the bat caves and other natural sites while looking for birds, white colobus monkeys and other forest wildlife.

Continue to one of the forest's viewpoints for panoramic views towards Dar es Salaam and spend time photographing the landscape.

Where time and conditions allow, enjoy a short experience around Minaki Dam, including canoeing or kayaking if arranged in advance.

After lunch, begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam Ferry terminal for your evening boat to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival, transfer back to your hotel.
