1-Day Ultimate Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Our driver-guide will pick you up early in the morning at 4:30 AM from your hotel or Kigali International Airport for a scenic 2.5-to-3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. Upon arrival around 7:00 AM, you will attend a briefing at the park headquarters in Kinigi, where ranger guides assign you a gorilla family based on fitness level and outline trekking protocols. You will then embark on an unforgettable hike through the bamboo slopes of the Virunga Mountains, which takes anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on the gorillas' location. Once located, you will spend one full, magical hour observing and photographing these gentle giants as they feed and interact in their natural habitat. Afterwards, you will hike back to the trailhead, enjoy a warm lunch at a nearby lodge or local restaurant, and transfer back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel or the airport by late afternoon.
