Nairobi to Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island

Your journey begins with pickup from your Nairobi hotel or an agreed meeting point in the city. Airport pickup is not included but can be arranged for an extra cost. Travel towards Lake Naivasha, with a stop at a Great Rift Valley viewpoint if time allows. On arrival, take a boat ride across the lake before exploring Crescent Island on a guided walking safari. Walk among free-roaming zebras, giraffes, and antelope while enjoying views of the lake and its birdlife. Later, relax and enjoy the lakeside surroundings. Lake Naivasha to the Maasai Mara

After breakfast, leave Lake Naivasha and travel through the Rift Valley towards the Maasai Mara. The road journey takes several hours, so an early departure helps you make the most of the day. On arrival, settle in and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive, provided the arrival time and park-entry arrangements allow. Explore the reserve's open grasslands and wildlife-rich areas while looking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes and other species. Wildlife sightings depend on the season, weather and animal movements. Any additional activities not listed as included are optional for an extra cost.

Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara, giving you time to experience the reserve beyond a single game drive. Set out early with your driver-guide to look for wildlife across the open plains and other habitats. You may encounter elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and a variety of birdlife, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. A picnic lunch allows you to remain in the reserve for an extended game drive, making the most of your day. Alternatively, a return to your lodge for lunch can be considered if practical arrangements permit. Optional experiences, such as a hot-air balloon safari, preferably done very early in the morning, or a Maasai cultural visit in the afternoon, are available for an extra cost and are subject to availability.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Nairobi and, depending on the departure time and route, you may see wildlife as you travel towards the reserve exit. Continue by road through the Kenyan countryside, with stops arranged according to the journey and your needs. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on traffic and road conditions. Please allow sufficient time when planning onward flights, as arrival times can vary. An additional game drive, if requested and available, is optional for an extra cost and must be arranged in advance.
