Nairobi - Aberdares National Park
Today your safari begins with the journey from Nairobi to Aberdares National Park. Your guide will collect you from the agreed pick-up point in Nairobi before heading north towards Kenya’s central highlands. Along the way, the scenery becomes greener and more mountainous as you approach the Aberdares.
After arriving in the area, you’ll have time to settle in and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The Aberdares offer a very different safari experience, with dense forests, open moorlands and dramatic mountain scenery. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, antelope, monkeys and, with some luck, some of the park’s more elusive wildlife before returning to your accommodation in the evening.

During your game drive, your guide will explain more about the conservation projects, anti-poaching efforts and the balance between wildlife protection and local communities. Along the way, you’ll also search for elephants, lions, buffalo, cheetahs and many other species that live within the conservancy.
