The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 recorded species. Other wildlife often seen on game drives includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, and more.

Serengeti national Park - Following the Migration
Serengeti national Park - Following the Migration
Early morning, after breakfast, we depart for Serengeti National Park.
Enter Serengeti by noon and enjoy a first en-route game drive in Seronera while heading further north following the migration. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing.
During the end of July to September, the Migration can be found in the Northern Serengeti, where they are crossing the Mara River following the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara. Harassed by lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, and ahead by giant Nile crocodiles, many hundreds perish as some hazard the river crossing while others detour it. The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our tented partner lodges for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Northern Serengeti Following the Migration
Northern Serengeti Following the Migration
After breakfast you will head out following the Migration. Mara river crossing is one of the must see in Serengeti and totally one of the most spectacular events in Serengeti. Harassed behind by lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas and ahead by giant Nile crocodiles, many hundreds perish as some hazard the river crossing while others detour it. Many wildebeests perish trying to reach the mineral rich grass of Maasai Mara where they will spend at list 2 months before they start to migrate again to their ancestral birthing Ground Southern Ndutu where it will all start again.
But the beauty of the landscape, stretching without end beneath the infinite sky of the northern Serengeti, changes something in the watcher, who becomes more aware of humankind's place within the drama of the animal world. After a full-day game drive, hopefully with a sighting of the crossing, we will return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you’ll head out to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will enjoy an en route game drive as we continue towards the Ngorongoro Crater.
Starting at about 2,286 meters above sea level, you’ll descend roughly 610 meters to reach the crater floor, which sits at around 1,600 meters. This huge caldera, once an active volcano, now covers about 304 square kilometers and spans nearly 19 kilometers.
More than 30,000 animals live here year-round. This is one of the few places in Africa where you might see all of the "Big Five" together, as well as ostriches, hippos, hyenas, warthogs, flamingos, and zebras. Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best places in the world to spot the endangered black rhino in the wild. The only animal you won’t find here is the giraffe.
After a full day of spotting wildlife, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and a restful night.
