4-Day Victoria Falls Classic: Falls and Zambezi Sunset

Arrival in Victoria Falls and check-in at Shongwe Lookout

Our driver meets you at Victoria Falls Airport with a name board and takes you by private vehicle to Shongwe Lookout, about 25 minutes away. Shongwe is an owner-run lodge on the edge of town with a lookout tower over the Zambezi River and the spray of the Falls. Check in to your Deluxe room, cool off by the infinity pool and spend the rest of the afternoon at your own pace.

The Falls at your own pace

After breakfast we drive you to the rainforest entrance for a self-guided walk facing the Main Falls. Information boards along the trail explain what you are seeing. The rainforest entry fee is paid locally at the gate. Take as long as you like, then our driver collects you at the exit and brings you back to the lodge. The afternoon is free for the pool, a stroll into town or optional activities arranged at extra cost.

Zambezi game drive, free afternoon and sunset cruise

In the morning you join a game drive in Zambezi National Park in an open-sided 4x4 with a guide, looking for elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and antelope along the river. The afternoon is free to relax at the lodge or add an optional activity at extra cost. In the late afternoon you are collected from Shongwe Lookout for a sundowner cruise on the upper Zambezi, shared with other guests. The cruise does not guarantee wildlife, but you may see animals along the river. The park entry and river usage fees are paid locally on the day.
