Erta Ale Volcano to Mekele

Set off toward the active shield volcano of Erta Ale. Embark on an evening trek to the rim of the caldera to witness the mesmerizing, glowing lava lake bubbling below under the dark desert sky. After taking in this dramatic volcanic spectacle, camp nearby, then begin the return journey across the rugged terrain back to Mekele by the following evening, concluding your extreme desert expedition.
