Depart Nairobi in your private pop-up roof 4x4 and travel through the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive among the lakeshore grasslands and woodland. Look for rhino, buffalo, giraffe, antelope and birdlife, with your guide explaining the different habitats. Flamingo numbers change with lake conditions, so a large gathering cannot be promised. Continue to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for dinner and your first overnight stay. Lunch, dinner and drinking water are included today. Please arrive in Nairobi before the tour begins so the departure and afternoon safari are not rushed.

Day 2-4
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara and two full safari days
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara and two full safari days
Day 2: After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru and drive to the Masai Mara. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon game drive before settling into Amani Mara Camp. Days 3 and 4: Explore the reserve on full-day game drives in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Picnic lunches allow you to remain out near the wildlife, with routes shaped by current sightings and your interests. Look for big cats, elephants, giraffes and plains game along the riverbanks and across the grasslands. Your guide gives sightings time to develop and explains animal behaviour. Return to Amani Mara for dinner each evening. All meals and drinking water are included during these three days. Migration locations and river crossings depend on the season and cannot be guaranteed.

Day 5-7
Isebania crossing and three Serengeti nights

Day 5: Depart early for the Isebania border, complete immigration formalities and meet your Tanzania guide. The road journey is long, with wildlife viewing en route as time and park conditions allow. Continue to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner and the first of three nights. Days 6 and 7: Enjoy full-day game drives in your private pop-up roof 4x4 around the Central Serengeti. Take picnic lunches and explore kopjes, river valleys and open grassland in search of big cats, elephants and plains game. Your guide follows current sightings and allows time to observe animal behaviour. Return to Olkarien each evening. All meals and drinking water are included. Wildlife and migration sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Leave Olkarien early after breakfast and travel out of the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro. This is a substantial driving day, so your guide keeps the morning focused on the transfer. After lunch, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Explore the grasslands, wetland edges and woodland while looking for lions, buffalo and, with luck, black rhino. Sightings cannot be guaranteed. Ascend in time to continue to Naserian Safari Camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

After breakfast at Naserian, drive down from the Ngorongoro Highlands towards Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy lunch before an afternoon game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4, exploring groundwater forest, woodland and the lakeshore habitats that are accessible on the day. Look for elephants, baboons, giraffes and birdlife. Water levels and wildlife movements change, and tree-climbing lions are never guaranteed. Continue to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay overlooking the Rift Valley. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

Lake Manyara to Arusha and departure
Enjoy breakfast at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge before travelling by private vehicle to Arusha. Today is reserved for the road transfer and departure arrangements, with no scheduled wildlife-viewing activity. Have lunch before your onward transfer, allowing sufficient time for the journey to the airport and check-in. Your ten-day safari ends in Arusha, and there is no overnight accommodation tonight. Breakfast, lunch and drinking water are included. If your flight timing does not fit the road journey, we can arrange an additional night in Arusha at extra cost.
