Arusha to Tarangire and Serian Tarangire Camp

Meet your Gosheni driver-guide at your Arusha hotel in the morning and join the other guests for the drive to Tarangire National Park. Hotel pickup within Arusha is included; airport transfers and accommodation before the safari can be arranged at extra cost. Travel in a shared pop-up-roof 4x4 with no more than six guests, each with a window seat. After entering the park, explore baobab country and the Tarangire River habitats, looking for elephants, giraffes and other wildlife. Enjoy your included lunch and an afternoon game drive, with time to watch animal behaviour and take photographs. The route and pace are shared with the group. Later, settle into Serian Tarangire Camp for dinner and your first night. Drinking water is included; other drinks and personal purchases cost extra. Wildlife sightings vary with conditions.

Travel to Central Serengeti and Enkirari Wilderness

After breakfast, leave Tarangire and travel through the Ngorongoro highlands towards Central Serengeti. This is the longest transfer of the safari, so expect several hours on the road and changing road conditions. Your guide will explain the landscapes and arrange practical comfort stops. Lunch is included along the journey. Once inside Serengeti National Park, look for wildlife from the shared pop-up-roof 4x4 and enjoy an afternoon game drive as arrival time permits. Resident animals and open grasslands make this an introduction to the Serengeti, but sightings depend on conditions. Arrive at Enkirari Wilderness Camp for dinner and the first of two consecutive nights. Staying in one camp gives the group a full game-drive day tomorrow without another long transfer. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

A Full Day Exploring Central Serengeti

Spend a full day on shared game drives in Central Serengeti with your Gosheni driver-guide. With a second night at Enkirari Wilderness Camp, you can leave your luggage behind and focus on the wildlife. Your guide will plan the route around current sightings, weather and the interests of the group, exploring grasslands and river corridors for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes and smaller animals. Allow time to watch behaviour rather than simply collect sightings. Lunch and drinking water are included during the day, with breakfast and dinner at camp. The migratory herds follow seasonal rainfall and may be elsewhere; this itinerary does not promise a river crossing or any particular animal. Return to Enkirari after the game drives for dinner and another night in the Serengeti. Optional activities must be arranged separately and cost extra.

Morning Serengeti Game Drive and Travel to Karatu

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Central Serengeti before beginning the road journey through the Ngorongoro highlands to Karatu. Your driver-guide will balance wildlife stops with the distance still to travel. Lunch and drinking water are included. This afternoon is mainly a transfer, with changing scenery as you leave the Serengeti plains. Reach The Castle at Ngorongoro in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay before tomorrow's crater visit. There is no crater descent today. Your guide will brief everyone on the early departure needed to reach the crater. Game drives and transfers use the shared pop-up-roof 4x4, with a common schedule for the group. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included; other drinks and personal purchases cost extra.

After an early breakfast, travel to Ngorongoro Crater and descend for a shared morning game drive within the permitted visiting hours. Explore grasslands and wetland habitats with your Gosheni guide, looking for buffalo, zebra, hippos, lions and smaller wildlife. Black rhinos are possible, but no sighting is guaranteed. Enjoy your included lunch at a designated stopping place before ascending and driving back to Arusha. The safari ends with a drop-off at your Arusha hotel or the agreed central meeting point. Dinner, accommodation after the tour and airport transfers are not included and can be arranged at extra cost. Avoid booking an early onward flight on this day; the return time depends on road conditions and the group schedule. Breakfast, lunch and drinking water are included.
