½-Day Kibera Slums Tour

Welcome to the Kibera slums as you walk through the narrow streets. Watch as small traders continue peacefully with their daily business. Children will stop to say, Jambo, as you walk armed with your camera. The sounds of Mzungu, from children, should not worry you; they are appreciating your visit!

This fantastic tour will last 3 hours. The tour can start any time between 7.30 am and 3.00 pm. Our driver will pick you up from your city hotel and drop you off after the tour. The guide will walk with you along the narrow streets and show you places of interest. Among the places you will visit are:
What to see
1. A bead factory: people here are creative. Animal bones are converted to beads and kitchenware. Watch as women and men sweat on their work.
2. The biogas center: a fantastic view over Kibera and picture-point. You can also see that human waste is converted to energy.
3. Local schools to see how the school operates, and also, you can offer your donations.
