Day 1

Nairobi - Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Nairobi - Transfer to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up by our driver from your Nairobi hotel at 7:00 a.m. and immediately depart for Amboseli. You will arrive by mid-morning and immediately have a game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch. You will check in and later enjoy lunch then relax before your afternoon game drive at 3 or 4:00 p.m. - 6 p.m. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Amboseli National Park

This day is spent with morning and afternoon game drives, one before breakfast and another at 3:00 p.m. Amboseli offers the perfect view of Mount Kilimanjaro especially early in the morning. Another unique attraction is the huge herd of elephants around the swamp area and flamingos who visit the small lake some months of the year. Look out for lions, buffalos, giraffes, ostriches, warthogs and many bird species.

Optional activities one can engage in include balloon ride, a hike to observation point - provides great views of the park from the top, and cultural visit to nearby Maasai Villages. You may also donate school items.

Day 3

Amboseli - transfer to Salt Lick via Tsavo West National Park

Amboseli - transfer to Salt Lick via Tsavo West National Park

You will have breakfast then depart for Tsavo West to visit Mzima Springs where you may see the crocodiles and hippos swimming underwater. You will also be driven to the “shetani” lava flows and have a view of Chyulu Hills too. Thereafter, have lunch at Kilaguni Serena before heading to Salt Lick Game Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Saltlick Safari Lodge has a stunning waterhole that serves as a vital oasis for wildlife from every corner of the park. As the day winds down, an excited gathering unfolds—majestic elephants, graceful zebras, sturdy buffalos, playful warthogs, and elegant impalas, among others, converge to quench their thirst and have a playful time. Watching them drink and interact around the waterhole is nothing short of breath taking, offering an unforgettable experience.

You will have a pre-breakfast game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast. Thereafter, you will proceed to Tsavo East arriving by mid-morning. You will enjoy a short game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch. You will have lunch and then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4:00 p.m.

This lodge also has a water hole where animals come to drink water.
