Arrival at the Campsite
The safari starts in the tourist town of Maun with a welcome briefing before you head out on your next adventure. Depending on your itinerary, a packed lunch will be served along the way. The Okavango Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the mid-afternoon, you arrive at the mobile camp set in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Depending on water levels, access to the camp is either by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or by vehicle. On arrival, you meet the local staff who will host you during your stay and receive a short introduction to the camp. You may also choose to assist with simple camp chores, such as setting up tents. There is time to relax in the mess tent with a cold drink or enjoy a paddle in the lagoon by canoe. Activities at the camp include mokoro excursions and guided walks. You spend two relaxing nights at this camp.

Day 2
Okavango Delta Camping
Okavango Delta Camping
Most days at camp follow a similar routine. The sound of the water walla bucket lets you know your shower is ready. You are up before sunrise and head out on foot to explore the area in search of wildlife. After the walk, you meet other guests at the mess tent for breakfast, followed by a mokoro excursion to explore further. There is time later in the morning to relax, read or watch birdlife from the mess tent.
Lunch is usually served around 1:00pm. At about 3:00pm, afternoon tea is offered before the next activities begin. You return to camp in the late afternoon for a sundowner while dinner is prepared.
In the evening, your hosts may share stories around the campfire about their lives and the land. Guests are sometimes treated to a song, with the expectation of one in return. As the day comes to an end, you can relax and listen to the sounds of the African bush.
