Arrival in the Kruger

You depart from Johannesburg for your flight to Skukuza Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from Lion Sands for your approximately 30-minute transfer to Tinga Lodge. On arrival, you have time to check in at the lodge and enjoy the facilities.

Have an early start to your day as you enjoy an early morning game drive. As Lion Sands is a private game reserve within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and in a private concession within the Kruger National Park, safaris are not confined to main roads so the guides can navigate through dense bush to follow the animal tracks. With a limited number of vehicles on each property and strict criteria governing sightings, guests can spend extended periods watching wildlife in their natural habitat.

After your morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast followed by some relaxation time before you have lunch. You can also enjoy a bush walk. In the late afternoon, proceed on your second game drive after which you return to the lodge for dinner.

Final safari and departure

In the morning, proceed on an early game drive for your last chance to enjoy the incredible game viewing that Lion Sands has to offer and hopefully spot the Big 5. After your game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast after which you check out. You will be transferred to Skukuza Airport for your return flight back to Johannesburg.
