Day 1

Johannesburg - Hazyview

Johannesburg - Hazyview

Your private guide will pick you up early in the morning from Johannesburg and transfer you via the Panorama Route to the Kruger Park region. You can be picked up directly from your hotel anywhere in Johannesburg at no extra charge. Your transfer will be private, with no other guests sharing the vehicle, allowing for a relaxing journey. You’ll stop along the way to buy refreshments and stretch your legs.

Upon arrival at the lodge in the afternoon, you will reax until it’s time for an elephant tour starting at 16:00. This is an opportunity to get close to the largest land animals on earth. Enjoy dinner back at the lodge around 18:00/19:00.

Note: Pick-ups can also be arranged from Pretoria or Nelspruit.

Day 2

Panorama Route

Panorama Route

After breakfast, you will visit the Graskop Gorge Glass Lift, offering magival views of the Lowveld valley stretching over forested land toward the Kruger National Park area. The glass lift takes you down into the indigenous rainforest, where you can walk along a boardwalk trail and explore this natural treasure.

You’ll then continue to the Panorama Route, starting at the Pinnacle Rock lookout point. From here you will visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, known for their natural rock formations created by the confluence of the Blyde and Treur rivers. Finally, you will stop at the Three Rondavels for views of the scenic Blyde River Canyon and the dam below.

After the last stop, head to the lodge, where you will stay for the next two nights. Relax before dinner, which will be served around 19:00.

Day 3

Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve

Enjoy a tasty breakfast around 07:30. Afterwards, you will make your way to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for a tour starting at 09:30. At the center, you can get close to Africa’s wildlife and learn more about some of the continent’s threatened and rescued animals. Animals that can be viewed include leopard, lions, serval, vultures, and honey badger (including the famous Stoffel), among others.

After your wildlife tour, there will be time to enjoy lunch and relax before going on a relaxing canyon boat cruise in the afternoon. Enjoy the scenery of the Blyde River Nature Reserve while cruising down the canyon and see the second-highest tufa waterfalls on earth, hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, and plains game. This is a great way to end your Panorama Route journey, with views from inside the canyon.

Return to your accommodations afterwards and relax until dinner is served around 19:00.

Day 4

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park

Arrive late morning at the park, where you will be able to spot South Africa’s wildlife as soon as you enter. Be especially on the lookout for elephant breeding herds, large herds of buffalo, lions, and leopards, to name but a few.

Later you will transfer to your accommodations inside the park, where you will stay for the last two nights of your tour. After checking in, you will have time to relax before going on a three-hour open-vehicle sunset game drive at 16:30, in search of wildlife in the area.

Enjoy dinner afterwards, prepared by your guide in the traditional South African way.

Day 5

Kruger National Park

This exciting day starts with an early departure for a full-day open-vehicle safari with a packed breakfast in hand.

You will have the whole day to explore one of the largest reserves in Africa, try to spot Africa’s famous Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo), view diverse bird species, and enjoy the mountains, bush plains, and forest areas that form part of Kruger’s landscape.

Enjoy lunch at one of Kruger’s restaurants (cost not included). Continue with your Kruger Park adventure after lunch. Around 15:00, you will make your way back to your accommodations, where you will have some time to relax before dinner is served at 18:00.

Day 6

Southern Kruger National Park

Southern Kruger National Park

Start this day bright and early in the true African way by enjoying the African sunrise and getting close to nature on foot via an adrenaline-packed bush walk.

Upon your return to camp, enjoy a tasty breakfast prepared by your guide before departing from Skukuza and heading to the southern parts of the park. You will be able to visit waterholes and viewpoints while on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five.

You'll arrive at your camp in the late afternoon, which is situated on the banks of the Matjulu Spruit in the south-western corner of Kruger National Park in a rugged mountainous terrain. After checking in, there will be time to relax and enjoy the African sunset before dinner, while listening to the night sounds of the bush.

Note: the bush walk can be substituted with a sunrise open-vehicle Kruger game drive.

Enjoy a relaxing morning as you wake up to a beautiful African sunrise. You will eat a delicious breakfast before departing around 09:00 and making your way back to Johannesburg.

Your transfer will be private, allowing for a scenic and leisurely drive with a stop along the way to stretch your legs or purchase refreshments. You will arrive in Johannesburg in the afternoon.

Alternatively, you may choose to do a final activity, such as a morning game drive (closed or open vehicle), before heading back to Johannesburg.

Drop-offs can also be made at Nelspruit/KMIA for those taking a flight to Cape Town.
