Day 1

Early in the morning at 7:30 am, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Selous Game Reserve. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 5 hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Meals and your overnight stay will be at Selous Ngalawa Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch and dinner.

Full Game Drive Inside Selous Game Reserve

You'll have breakfast in your accommodation followed by a full-day game drive in the reserve. We'll carry packed lunch and drinking water in our car. Selous is home to a large population of elephants, a big number of buffalo and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, kudu and crocodile. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Ngalawa Camp.

Day 3

Selous Game Reserve to Mikumi National Park

Selous Game Reserve to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, you'll go for the most exciting experience unique in Tanzania, walking safaris. You will be accompanied by armed rangers for about two hours. Thereafter, proceed with game viewing en-route to Mikumi National Park. On the way, you'll also get to enjoy the landscape. All meals will be at Mikumi Bastian.

Full Drive in Mikumi National Park

In the morning after breakfast, enjoy full-day game viewing in the park with packed lunch and mineral water. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant. The Mikumi elephants are mainly grazers and do not cause damage. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Mikumi Bastians.
