You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport at 7:00am and driven along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive starting at 4:00pm.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the day exploring the reserve. After breakfast, depart from the camp for a full-day game drive to the Mara River, where the annual migration and river crossings of wildebeests and zebras take place between July and October. The Masai Mara covers an area of 1,510km² (583mi²) of open landscape, and no matter where you drive, you are likely to encounter large populations of wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, impalas, gazelles, Masai giraffes, warthogs, topis and occasionally black rhinos and leopards.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and depart for Nairobi, passing through the breathtaking scenery of the Great Rift Valley. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your flight home.

In addition to the wildlife, the park is home to the community of Maasai warriors. Their bravery is renowned worldwide for their historic battles with the animals of the savanna. Visitors are welcomed into their culture through traditional songs and dances. You will have the opportunity to experience their way of life by visiting a local homestead. This visit is optional and requires an additional fee of US$30.

Optional activities on this day include a half-day city tour, a cultural experience at the Bomas of Kenya or dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant, known for its selection of exotic meats (payment to be made directly).
