Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater

Your guide will collect you from your Arusha hotel for the drive to Ngorongoro. Descend into the crater for a game drive as the journey allows, with your picnic lunch during the day. Explore the grasslands and wetland areas, looking for buffalo, zebra, hippos and predators. Your guide will help you understand the sightings rather than simply name the animals. Ascend within the permitted visiting hours and continue to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel from the highlands into Central Serengeti. This is a road-transfer day with game viewing once inside the park, followed by an afternoon drive as time allows. Look for resident wildlife around Seronera and let your guide introduce the tracks, shapes and sounds that reveal more of the landscape. Continue to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. The focus here is the central park's wildlife, before you head north tomorrow.

Travel north towards Kogatende after breakfast, with a picnic lunch and game viewing along the route. Watch the landscape change as you move deeper into Northern Serengeti. Where herds are present, your guide will look for their movements and possible activity near the Mara River. The drive takes time, so the day balances travel with sightings. Arrive at Enkutoto Migration Camp for dinner and the first of two nights; a river crossing cannot be scheduled or promised.

Spend the day exploring Northern Serengeti with your private guide. When herds gather near the Mara River, there may be long periods of waiting before anything changes. Your guide will explain what the animals are doing and balance time near the river with other wildlife sightings. View from permitted areas, leaving the animals space to move. Return to Enkutoto Migration Camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Crossings are unpredictable, and the plains offer much to watch even when the herds stay put.

Enjoy a final morning game drive if the flight schedule allows, then transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Your guide will plan the morning around check-in, so there is time to leave the bush without rushing the connection. On arrival, meet your transfer driver and continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our team will confirm suitable onward flight timing before booking, allowing a practical connection between the safari flight and your international departure.
