Lake Manyara National Park game drive

Pick up from Tulia Retreat Hotel & Spa at 08.30am, drive with picnic lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (About 135Klm) for a full day game drive, home to giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains. The contrasts of this area are simply breathtaking, with the open plains, huge escarpment, Soda Lake, dense woodlands, and distance volcanic peaks.

Animals such as Elephants, Hippos, Impalas, Giraffe, Warthog, Wildebeest, Blue monkeys and Buffaloes can be seen.

This Park is also home to the famous tree climbing lions and Leopards.

Lake Manyara National Park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania bird’s life with over 400 species have been recorded within the parks boundaries. Highlights include pink-hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans.

Serengeti National Park game drive

Early at 6.00am have a cup of coffee and drive to Maasai Boma where you will experience the rhythm of this nomadic tribe’s daily life. Subject to the season, witness the livestock movement in the early morning before meeting the Elders, Moran warriors and women and children with full explanations into the status and ranking within the families as well as their traditions and beliefs.

Then drive back to the camp for full breakfast

After breakfast have a full day game drive en-route with picnic lunch box to Serengeti National Park, through Ngorongoro Conservation area.

On the way you will see many wild animals e.g Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Thomson gazelles, Ostrich, Buffaloes and nice view of Ngorongoro Crater.

Tarangire National Park covers 2,600 square kilometers and at dry times, the concentration of animal’s rivals that of the much better known Serengeti – the game numbers are staggering: E.g. 30,000 Zebras, 25,000 Wildebeests, 5,000 Buffaloes, 3,000 Elephants, 2,500 Maasai Giraffes and over 1,000 Fringe-eared Oryx’s (gemsbok), Predators include Lions, Cheetah and Leopards.

Walking at the edge of Rift-valley and Mto wambu cultural

After breakfast, drive to the edge of Rift Valley, English speaking guide will guide you to walk at edge of Rift valley and have a chance to view Lake Manyara park, Maasai bushland plains etc

After lunch have a cultural tour Mto wa Mbu, walk with you through the streets of this African farming village, surrounded by beautiful nature.

During this tour you visit an African school, church, market and banana brewery. A great way to get an insight in the daily life of local people. This activity will take about 2 hours. A part of the money will go to the local community.
